Happy Fall, Y’All!

Fall is my favorite season. The leaves changing. The cooler temperatures. The Halloween candy that I may or may not swipe from my kids’ stash while they’re sleeping.

This year we picked the most picturesque day to visit a local pumpkin patch. I think the sky and leaves and pumpkins got together and collectively decided to show off, big time. Somehow they even roped my kids into the act.

And so I started snapping photos. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

And one more thing: I love this song. It’s by a singer/songwriter we met in Montana, pre-kids. We first heard him perform it in an historic round barn just outside Red Lodge. We may or may not have been on a date, whatever that is. It’s one of my favorite autumn memories. Enjoy!

  1. Who knows where my previous comment on this story went. I haven’t a clue as to what I wrote but one thing for certain, it was profound! Here is a new one…for a great part of my life hearts were a favorite object (in more ways than one). At some point along the way (not sure when) pumpkins replaced the heart. This article is precious. The photos are glorious and the song, almost a faded memory has reached the deepest recesses of my very old heart. My favorite pumpkin photos were of the ones wandering about the patch! I love you Honey! Very well done!
